AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEMS

VALOMEC provides proven high-efficiency systems for the reduction of air pollutants and odor control.

Wet processes for air purification

Wet scrubbing involves horizontal or vertical SCRUBBERS for the removal of pollutants or odor control, with one or more independent washing stages. These products can be constructed from polypropylene (PP), PVC, HDPE, or stainless steel—materials that are all corrosion-resistant.

This type of scrubber is widely used for controlling organic odors and removing acidic or alkaline gases through various washing processes. The systems can be equipped with pH, redox potential, or electrical conductivity measuring instruments, along with automatic systems capable of replenishing reagents and discharging the used washing solutions.

Examples of applications:

Systems for neutralizing acids downstream of waste incinerators
Systems for the removal of oily mists from synthetic fiber processing or cathodic electrocoating (cataphoresis) painting
Odor control systems installed in industries for the purification of organic and inorganic substances
Air treatment systems for the removal of gaseous pollutants, fumes, oily mists, and dust

Dry processes for air purification

Activated carbon and biofiltration are some of the possible solutions for removing VOCs and odors from a gas stream.

Examples of applications:

Biofiltration to neutralize odors from waste treatment
Activated carbon unit installed after a wet deodorization system at a wastewater treatment plant
Biofiltration for odor neutralization from wastewater
